Two Paws Up: The Greatest Trip of My Life
Hola, humans. My name is Nico. I'm part dachshund, part chihuahua (we think), and all heart. I'm proud to be Hola Movers' very first client.
I went all the way from San Antonio, Texas, to Mérida, Mexico. I was a little nervous at first, but then I saw my private cabin. (My humans call it a crate, but trust me, it was a cabin.) It had my favorite blanket for naps, my toys, and my best friend, Mario. Yes, they brought Mario. Nobody gets left behind with Hola Movers.
Jocelyn was with me the whole way, and she really, truly loves animals. I could tell right away. We stopped often for walks so I could stretch my little legs and smell new places. I had dinner every time we stopped, and I got treats along the way. My favorite food came along too, so every meal tasted like home.
Here's a secret: I had to take medicine on the trip. Yuck. But when the others went to eat, Jocelyn stayed with me so we could hang out. She called it our bonding time, and I agree. Then a team member, who never forgets that everyone should eat, brought her food. She shared some plain chicken with me. No sauce, nothing spicy, just right for my tummy. I didn't even notice the medicine. Best. Road. Snack. Ever.
When I got to Mérida, I saw a vet just four days later. The verdict: a clean bill of health. Healthy, happy, and a little bit famous.
